I don't think any automaker could get me to trust the longevity of something like this, nevermind a german one.

Ah, the new Target Top... so called because it looks like a patio umbrella from Target.

I mean what happened to removing the darned thing by hand... My sunroof is 21 years old and still works! Want to know why? BECAUSE IT'S MANUAL
One more friggin thing to break and pay an arm and a leg for some replacement brackets and electrical motors.

But the MR2 comes with not having to give Toyota's service department $2k every 5 years for robot repairs. Where's the fun in that?

T-Tops. Way the fuck better. This is like all the complexity of a convertible without the actual convertible part. I just don't really get why you'd do that?

...yeah, it's more like $500 for a full set of T-top weatherstrips.. though I bet you have to pay for them on the Porsche too.

I like it. It's quintessentially German - over-engineering at its best.

I don't care if it's heavy or not, it's badass. They need to make a RWD version though, I don't particularly want AWD in a 911 personally, and shedding that would help compensate for the weight of the roof system.

Yeah, not even Porsche. It's cool when it works, but...hmm. I like my roofs firmly attached and immovable.
